Massage Therapy with Bev Knapp, RMT
Bio: I graduated as a Registered Massage Therapist in July 2020 from (ACMT) The Alberta College of Massage Therapy and am in good standing with CMMOTA. My skills include Swedish and Non-Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapy. My very first position as an RMT was working in a clinic with physiotherapists and acupuncturists. I did some hands on learning in this clinic, advancing my knowledge of anatomy and how it works.
Before becoming an RMT, I spent 20 years working as an Admin Assistant but always loved massage therapy and what it can do for the mind, body and muscles. For many years I informally practiced massage treatments on family and friends and was told how much it had helped them. They said I had a gift and should choose massage therapy as a career. It took a few years, but I finally decided to do just that and went on to receive formal education as an RMT.
My passion is to work with individuals in a trusting, caring, kind and respectful manner. I really enjoy helping people and want to share my knowledge and skills with others. My intent is to work towards healing and individual client self-care so people can move more easily, have less discomfort, and get the best out of life and what it has to offer.
